BUCKHEAD, Ga. — If you've never been to Germany, there's a quaint spot where you can get a little taste of it here in Buckhead at the ChristKindl Market on Paces Ferry Road.

Families are filling the market in the last days before Christmas, hoping to find that perfect gift.

For seven years, the ChristKindl Market has been offering metro Atlanta a fusion of European and very Southern experiences.

Vendor Rosemary Zoellner is running one of the Gluhwein stands and said most people are opting for hot cider -- with a kick.

“A lot of people are drinking the hot apple cider with Fireball. Even people who don’t like Fireball, so that’s a wonderful drink," Zoellner said.

Fellow vendor Richard Klien and his partner are selling handmade goods from across the globe but his most popular item is his specially-made jam.

“I intentionally made them more the adult palette. It doesn’t mean they have alcohol but they are more complex flavors and less sweet. Some of them are a little spicy," Klien said.

This is the first time Klien and his partner have set up shop at the market—but both men say they’ll be back next year.

Maria Miller was also a first-timer. She hoped to find a special gift.

"I still have one gift. I need to get my mom something and this looks like the perfect place to do that," Miller said.

The market features over 50 vendors huddled into a 32,000-square-foot lot in Buckhead Village.

It operates Friday and Saturday until 9 p.m. but closes on Sunday at 6 p.m.
